Objective of the center is to create an adequate numbers of qualified engineers,
teachers and staff members from existing polytechnic and colleges to support growing
needs of Embedded Engineers in India and International market.
Embedded
technology in India is growing rapidly and it is maturing at a faster pace not
only in terms of size but in terms of technological advancement in Electronic
industry. This technology is becoming more and more sophisticated with increased
customer awareness. Companies are moving ahead with this technology for making
product technologically latest with lower cost. Embedded technology is widely
used in automotive, medical, process control, toys, defense, aircrafts and domestic
appliances.
To cater effectively to this need for technologically advanced
companies, well qualified and well versed technical manpower is required all over
the country. Presently there is huge gap between knowledge required and knowledge
possessed by the R&D engineers. Colleges and Polytechnics need to be well equipped
and have trained teachers/staff for extending this industry driven education.
